When we set out on a fishing charter, I have a pretty solid plan in place for what we’re going to be targeting on the fishing trip. However, one of the things I love the most about fishing offshore here in the Vinice, Florida area is that even though you are targeting certain fish, you just never know what else you might catch.
This past week has been phenomenal. We have been primarily targeting gag grouper, red grouper, mangrove snapper and blackfin tuna. The grouper bite was outstanding all week. The snapperĀ bite wasn’t bad either. We also threw a line out hoping for a few kingfish and we got a few. But, one day we hooked a really nice wahoo. Really wasn’t expecting that but what an awesome surprise!
