You know, one of the beauties of hitting the deep waters off the Sarasota coast is that a day can lead to nearly anything on the end of your lne. We’ve seen Hogfish to Tuna, but all in all – our local favorites are:

- Dolphin (Mahi Mahi)

- And even Giant Redfish!
What kind of offshore fishing do you do?
Some of the finest ship wreck, artificial reef fishing, and deep sea fishing happens on the Gulf of Mexico offshore of southwest Florida. The live bait fishing and slow trolling methods we use while fishing around these ship wrecks and reefs produces some of the most exciting wreck, reef fishing possible.
Are these deep sea trips in Sarasota family friendly?
They sure are! Family trips are something we look forward to. We can accommodate up to 6 passengers on our main boat, but we can also coordinate multi boat trips for large family gatherings. How about a little boat vs boat friendly competition with your uncle? Whatever the dream, Legacy Fishing Charters welcomes families small and large to enjoy a spectacular day on the water. These boats are outfitted with all of the latest in USCG approved safety gear and equipment – peace of mind during a family fishing trip is something we take seriously and we have you covered.
What’s included with my offshore fishing excursion?
All fishing equipment such as bait and tackle is provided, including offshore Gulf of Mexico fishing licenses for everyone.
Can we keep fish?
Yes. We will fish and keep at your request any and all legal fish. Legal fish refers to both size and seasonal regulations. If you choose to bring some home, Legacy Fishing Charters will even clean and bag it for you.
